I am 19 weeks and have been diagnosed with Sciatica. I am in so much pain all the time. It doesn’t matter if I am sitting, standing or laying, I get no comfort. My doctor just keeps saying "Give it time, or it should go away on its own". Pregnancy is supposed to be enjoyable and I am in so much pain that I don’t want to be pregnant and I hate that I feel this way. Any suggestions?
Nothing really helped me. But just so you’re not out for a surprise later, pregnancy is supposed to "look" enjoyable. Wait until you get further along, and it will be more evident as everything will ache and hurt.

the only things that help me are taking a warm bath or laying in bed for hours.. or all night. I know what your feeling and it’s no fun but there really isn’t anything they can do.

Not a thing you can really do short of delivery, heating pads work well to relieve some of the pain, as do warm baths.

I’m so glad you asked this question, I have horrible sciatica pain as well!
But I have gone to a chiro and don’t want to go back. I’ve been trying massage and yoga (just a few times so far) and neither has been helping all that much. They both help with neck pain, but not so much with the sciatica.

Warm showers or baths (not HOT), rest, and Tylenol is what I have used for my Sciatica.

I also suffer from my sciatic..I just went to the dr’s today and brought it up to her, the only thing she told me that would help soothe it was to have someone massage it for me, Tylenol, or to get on hands and knees with legs spread apart and let the baby hang for a minute and help reposition it. A warm bath also will help and she also said a heating pad or patch. But other than that..we are SOL. I also stretch too, try to stretch everyday and crack my back from going side to side, makes it feel better too.

I have a round ab ball and rocking back and forth on that helped a TON!!! Also lots of stretching before bed helps a lot. Also grabbing both side of a doorway and leaning back to stretch out yuor lower back works Wonders…sounds funny, but nothing helped more than that for me!
