Three years ago I suffered a major blow to my elbow. I had xrays and (to my surprise) it wasn’t broken and the Dr acted like she couldn’t have cared less. So for the past 3 years I’ve been suffering the symptoms of what seems to be a pinched nerve. Since it’s been so long with the pain often coming and going to the slightest touch, would a cortisone shot really do any good?

I would see an orthopedic specialist. As far as I now, cortisone is for inflammation, not sure how it works for pinched nerves.
Good Luck
