I would suggest going to the doctor. You don’t want to mess with stuff like that. But some suggestions on what it could be– a type of migrane, or a severe headache caused by strong tension in your upper neck. Also, depending on where on the back of your head it hurts, it could be caused my an eye problem. Go to a doctor and good luck

If its right at the base of your head? It is probably sinus.. it is allergy season which causes your sinus to get clogged which in turn gives you the worst headache ever!!!!… Try some Allergy meds

I believe it is a migraine headache. If not you may want to get a MRI and make sure it isn’t an aneurysm

time to see the doc.. it could be anything… from food allergy, migrane of a different type… a muscle issue… spine…. hypertension or something chemically imbalanced in your system….
so.. instead of suffering and missing out on an opportunity to get this corrected…. see the doc tell them what’s up… they’ll scan you and feel that area physically then ask you some questions and take some blood to see how your minerals are doing…
it’s nothing to worry about having yourself looked over…
it’s worse if it is something that can be fixed but you don’t see the doc and instead of avoiding years of misery… you suffer it gets real bad and spreads.
could be something simple… or something they can fix.
i had an issue like that.. dealt with it for years… i left it get to the point where i went blind for a while.. stupid me.. all it was… hypertension that i left get real bad and out of hand…
and it could have been avoided.. and cured without damaging my eyes.
sheeesh!
so there…. just see the doc… if you’re hurting.. why not maximize the opportunities to not hurt so bad.

Most, but not all head aches are muscular tension. Try a warm compress to the neck and shoulders and then stretch. Of the many types of head aches, there are cluster h/a’s, migraine h/a’s (predominently, these are suffered more by women than men) and muscular tension h/a’s. Others can be caused by simple things such as eye strain. If a head ache persists, you should consider seeking professional medical help. There could be underlying organic causes and contributing factors such as various disease processes that may need addressing.
